Kaki Lybbert was born in the Park Cities, the youngest daughter of a family that was steeped in the construction business. Her family lived in Highland Park. Being much younger then her brother and sister, Kaki spent a large part of her growing up years as the only child at home.
Growing up in Dallas, Kaki attended and graduated from Hockaday School. Kaki spent her college years at Louisiana State University studying Business Administration.
