Ear tube surgery is considered a simple surgical procedure, with a minimal level of risk. During the procedure, tiny ventilation tubes are inserted into the ear drum. These tubes conduct air from the outside into the ear in order to drain out the fluid in the middle ear space and prevent fluid buildup.
